Danisco acquired Genencor in 2005 to expand its position as a leader in food ingredients and to diversify into growing industrial biotechnology markets. With the acquisition, Danisco becomes the second largest supplier of industrial enzymes in the world.

The division also plays a leadership role in the policy centers of Washington and Brussels through its voluntary roles in the BIO (www.bio.org) and EuropaBio (http://www.europabio.org/white_biotech.htm) organisations.

Products

We produce protein (enzyme) products used for industrial applications in diverse consumer and industrial markets, ranging from grain processing to cleaning and textiles to biofuels and biosafety.
