The site

This is the branch office of Danisco Cultor (Switzerland) AG and an organisational part of Danisco CEE with a Vienna head office.

Our main task is to market and promote the entire range of Danisco products and to provide technical service to the customers: the food industry in Croatia and the neighbouring countries of Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Macedonia. Furthermore, technical service and sales to customers in Greece and Cyprus are responsibilities recently added to our activities.

There are two employees in the Zagreb office: a Branch Office Director/Sales Manager and a Site Manager. Both cooperate closely with Danisco's local agents engaged in culture sales in the area (Pasilac in Croatia and Bosnia & Herzegovina, Euras in Slovenia, Alteco in Greece and Sellenco in Cyprus).

History

The office in Zagreb was founded in June 1991 to cover Yugoslavia. Despite the war, which broke out in the region in the autumn of that year followed by the disintegration of the country and the founding of several independent states, our office has continued to operate and fulfil its tasks up until today.

Local community & environment

Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, is an industrial, cultural and trade centre as well as a transport and traffic centre with close connections to other industrial centres in the CEE region. With its approximately 900,000 inhabitants Zagreb is also a gateway to the Adriatic coast and a nice although sometimes too busy place to live in.

Location

Zagreb is located in the northwest of Croatia and its international airport (16 km from the city centre), excellent railway services and highway connections make it easily accessible from most of the world.
