The site

Danisco Belgium is the headquarters of Danisco Flavours. Additionally it is the beverage centre of the European market. The site comprises HQ building, production plant, Innovation and R&D laboratories.

The site in Louvain-la-Neuve specialises in liquid flavourings mainly for beverages but also for the dairy, confectionery and bakery markets. Furthermore, the site innovates, develops and produces soluble flavours and compounds i.e. emulsions, juice-based compounds, cola compounds and others.

In total, the site employs 133 people: 35 in R&D/Quality, 15 in Sales & Marketing, 53 in Production and 30 in various administrative functions.

History

Louvain-la-Neuve is a university town located only 25 minutes away from Brussels along the E411 highway between Brussels and Luxembourg. Brussels International Airport (Zaventem), offering worldwide connections, is only 30 minutes away.

Local community & environment

Thanks to the proximity of the university, the site benefits from interaction with academic people. Frequent visits to our facilities by university students, high school pupils and the employees' relatives add to the interaction with the community. Furthermore, the site benefits from students looking for internships in our company.
