The site

Danisco Sugar's sales office is represented by Montemar L.L.C., which distributes all specialty sugar products as well as arranges part of the logistics solutions for Danisco in the Baltic region.

Estonia is the only Baltic country where there is no sugar production. Altogether, the site employs four persons.

History

Montemar has been working with Danisco Sugar from January 1996.

Tallinn is the capital of Estonia, situated on the Bay of Tallinn (an inlet of the Gulf of Finland). It is a major Baltic port and naval station as well as an important industrial centre.

Even in the past, Estonia and Tallinn had a history involving the Danes – all the way back to 1219, which was the year when the Danes took control of Tallinn and established a fortress.

Even the name Tallinn mirrors the Danish control since its meaning in Estonian is "Danish castle". The city is the capital of Estonia and encapsulates a population of approx. 408,329.
