You are a strong analytic thinker within engineering and management.
We are looking for a candidate with practical experience in bioproduct development and industrialization (development and scale up of fermentation, centrifugation, MF/UF filtration, lyophilisation and drying processes). You will lead a team of one scientist and several technicians.
You will be in charge of the optimization/troubleshooting of existing processes within the Cultures Division manufacturing sites globally.
In addition, you will be responsible of developing new cost effective technologies for the production of micro-organisms (mainly lactic acid bacteria) to be used within the dairy, meat or probiotic markets.
You are used to work with both the lab and the industrial environment, and you will also be responsible of the industrialization of new strains by developing at the lab scale processes matching the productivity requirements and industrialization constraints (by using relevant scale up parameters).
You are a person with experience in international projects and people management and you have proven able to network internally and externally with scientific peers as well as colleagues from other areas (plant operators, business people, QC etc).
You'll have a Process Engineer education and must have a minimum of 5 years working experience in an international company dealing with micro-organism based processes.
You will be able to combine strong management and reporting skills to his/her engineering thinking and you will lead your team and your projects focusing on achieving targets on time.
Dynamism, team spirit, ability to travel and flexibility will be also necessary for a good integration in a group involved in multiple projects. In an international company as Danisco, English as company language is mandatory, and French and German is a plus.
