i-mune® Assay
Applications of assay

Applications of assay

Genencor has applied the extraordinary i-mune® assay (test) to a large number proteins ranging from industrial enzymes to food allergens to human therapeutic proteins.

Immunogenicity of protein therapeutics is a major product development risk.

The i-mune® assay technology provides a robust, timely, and cost-effective way to manage protein immunogenicity.

Reducing protein immunogenicity risks

Genencor has applied the i-mune® assay to rank the relative immune-response potential of a wide range of proteins based on experimentally determined Structure Index Values. This comparative method predicts immune response to a particular protein in humans without requiring animal or human models.

Using the i-mune® assay, we can successfully change proteins from high to lower immunogenicity. This allows us and our customers to manage and reduce immunogenicity as a risk factor in the development of protein therapeutics.
