Genencor is a world leader in cellulosic ethanol enzyme technology. We were the first to market with a large-scale enzyme for biomass-to-ethanol conversion, with the introduction of Accellerase® in 2007.

Since then, Genencor has continued to push technological boundaries and deliver new products to the evolving cellulosic ethanol

market.

Our dual strategy includes our commercial enzyme business and a joint venture with DuPont – DuPont Danisco Cellulosic Ethanol LLC, which will open its demo plant in Tennessee at the end of 2009.

In February 2009, Genencor launched Accellerase® 1500 enzyme complex, for improved economics and higher yields.

In February 2010, Genencor launched Accellerase® DUET enzyme complex, providing 3-fold dose reductions, compared to Accellerase® 1500, and broader feedstock applications.

Genencor added  three products to its Accellerase® enzyme line for smaller scale process developers: Accellerase® XY, XC and BG. 

Through our high-performance, feedstock flexible technologies we are fast-tracking cellulosic ethanol to commercialization.

Our open innovation approach achieves breakthrough results by working closely with our collaborators.
